May 2, 2009: Senator Stewart-Cousins and Representative Nonna meet with participants from Hawthorne Cedar Knolls

On Saturday May 2nd State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins and County Legislator John Nonna held an informal gathering at Jean Jacques Culinary Creations in Pleasantville, the JBFCS Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Residential Center's Girls Unit was invited to attend this special event where they along with other guest had the opportunity to hear the senator speak and participate in a question and answer segment.

The involvement of our young ladies in events such as this is a central component of JBFCS Residential Treatment Program's empowerment-based and community service initiatives that are designed to provide opportunities to educate our youth around social and individual advocacy and positive community involvement.
